Inspiration: Goddesses and Daydreams

People often ask which specific myth a painting is drawn from, and the honest answer is usually none of them directly. I borrow the feeling of myth — its scale, its symbolism, its sense that a figure carries meaning beyond herself — without illustrating an existing story.

The reference wall in my studio is a strange collage: historical dress, nature photography, old theater costumes, and pages torn from folklore anthologies. It all gets filtered through the same imagined world until it feels like it belongs there.

Every painting adds one more piece to that world. I'm never in a hurry to finish it.
